Why is the government taking away our rights for no reason??

The government can now know when I check a book out from a public library or use a public computer there, but if I buy a $650 laptop with cash and use the public wireless access in my downtown area to plan a jihad, no one can track me.

If I was a terrorist, why would I send a wire transfer overseas when I could just send cash in a UPS box.

I hope that you all think about this before you allow anymore of your freedom to be stripped.

The deforestation of rainforests, especially the Brazilian is a major problem and without out reversing the decline in the trees the problems will just get worse. As trees take carbon dioxide out of the environment & convert it oxygen, so the less trees the're the worse global warming will be. Reducing pollution is also important.

Why is the US such a joke, a country with the wealth and population and technology should set the strandards and examples, but they are so far off, every other country dislikes the US, it cant be a coincidence. If the world jealous appears in any answer, thats summarises what a idiot you would be.

Pakistan is a threat to all non-muslims countries espcially more threat to Israel(90%) and US support Israel. Why dont we stop Pakistan in developing more N-bombs.
US gets afraid of Pakistan due to N-power or there are many countries like china russia and many more supporting to Pakistan.
We see US people and PAK people dont like each other.

The Church is the richest organisation in the world. They are sitting on BILLIONS of $ worth of assets in bank accounts, property, fine art etc. I find it hard to understand why God's representatives on earth, the prime vocalists of doing good etc, continue to sit on their vast assets while people around the world are starving?? World poverty could be solved in a year if the church stopped telling everyone what to do and DID IT THEMSELVES!

Registered Sex Offenders in 27 states vow civil disobedience

In an incredible and long overdue stand against the
constitutionality of sex offender registration laws, registrants in
27 states have quietly banned together to organize an orchestrate an
exercise in civil disobedience. The supreme court has grossly failed
in it's duties to uphold the constitution repeatedly. It is now up
to us.

Representatives of the group say their plans are peaceful and non
violent. The individuals on the registry have been subjected to
numerous retroactive laws which has amounted to what they feel is
additional punishment. Many have been forced from their homes and
even entire cities recently with the introduction of "residency
restriction" laws. These laws forbid anyone on the registry,
regardless of their individual crime or the time lapsing since their
conviction, from living within anywhere from 1,000 to 2,500 feet
from places where children congregate, such as schools, daycare
centers, and parks.

Conservatives tend to be very partisan, malicious, mean, heartless, etc. and I don't really trust them protecting any of our more liberal infrastructure. What do you think?

This nation has been shaped by waves of immigrants from around the world way back hundred years ago. They came in here illlegally too, without the permission of the original settlers. They found the land and they started marking their territories. The only true dwellers in this vast lands are the native american indians.

I was wondering how many kids we could feed for the money Bono spent on the eyewear he wears in the video posted on Yahoo this evening lecturing us about world poverty and what we need to do our governments need to do to end this problem?

On a similar note, do you think he flew comercial to Africa or Private jet? Seems like an awful waste if he flew anything less than econo class. Could someone figure out the difference of the cost of a private jet to Africa vs. a ticket on say an Econo ticket on British airways. I think we could buy at least one mosquito net for the difference.

BTW, anyone catch which Motel 6 Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are staying at on their latest trip to Africa? I heard a nasty rumor that after they toured the poverty striken areas of Africa they ran of to the nicest resort on the continent and dropped 10K a night. Surely this was misreported when they are telling me I need to send in the money I was going to use for a CD.

Why end poverty?

What's wrong with poverty? Why does it need to end? Without poverty would we know what a decent, successful living looks like? I see no moral dilemna here. I respect poverty! It's a brutal frame of reference that helps me to realize what a great situation I really am in.
Giving money means satisfying empty bellies, and when these bellies are full, what's the next thing a human needs? Sex! That's right, sex. And then there's a good chance after that is performed another empty bellied creature is born. Thus, the perpetual cycle never ends as we give more money.

Leave poverty alone! Let it be free! Let it exist! Stop trying to end poverty. It's not a disease. It's a solution
