This nation has been shaped by waves of immigrants from around the world way back hundred years ago. They came in here illlegally too, without the permission of the original settlers. They found the land and they started marking their territories. The only true dwellers in this vast lands are the native american indians.

Illegal immigrants do a lot of the crappy jobs American citizens don't want to do. You're right, they are an asset. The american government needs to help improve conditions in Mexico and Latin America, in general. They also need to go after the employers who hire illegal immigrants and improve security on the border.

The same way there are good Americans, there bad Americans
there are good illegal immigrants there are bad illegal immigrants
There's always two sides on the same story which I mean you can't put all the illegal immigrants in the same sack (even though entering the country illegally put them in a very delicate situation).
You are right by saying that the true dwellers of this lands were native Americans and if we have to go back in history they came from Asia through the Bering Strait during the Ice Age but anyways they've been most of the time in this land.
The day that human beings change their point of view, seeing people as people and not as a target that you can shoot at the border then things will change.
Unfortunately, there's no answer for your question because illegal immigrants (immigrants who enter the US illegally) can potentially be a burden (eg. gang members, prostitution, etc) but there's a lot of them that are part of this country's continuing success.
I know A LOT of illegal immigrants that came into this country illegally, excuse the redundancy, and nowadays they're successful professionals and exemplary members of society who always give a hand to anyone, illegal or non-illegal, because they know what is to sacrifice a lot of things to achieve a better living for their families.

Yes, they help to do jobs many Americans don't want to do because they are paid very little. Since most are illegally employed, they are paid cash, and their employers do not have to pay for Social Security and other costs which Americans have to have deducted from their paychecks.

Their is a strong racial component underlying the complaints about illegal immigrants. Many of them do not speak English well, and are a darker complexion than Caucasians. Unlike earlier immigrants and legal immigrants, they do not assimilate into American society the way other immigrants do.

Add to this the fact that Caucasians are projected to fall to less than 50% of the US population by 2050 (US Census Bureau figures), and you have an understanding for the real reasons people are upset at them.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. But lets forget about legal or illegal and look at what you can support.
If you work and able to support yourself, how many more people you can support into your household? Would you keep having kids even if you can not support them?
Things are always changing, what worked before doesn't necessary works now.
Laws has to change or stiffen so that everybody is protected. Live as an illegal immigrants can not be too much fun?
I feel that they hurt more then help, I feel that American will take these job, but they expect fair wages and health insurance, etc. The employers rather save money.

My dear,
#1 - Stricto senso, an immigrant is a person who come into a new country, region, or environment in order to settle there.
By this (Webster New Universal Unabridged Dictionary) definition, the Native American Indians are immigrants too, since they migrated from Asia, and the only non-immigrants are the African-Americans who were brought here against their will.
It might sound politically incorrect, but it's historically true.
#2 - No one could honestly answer your question, because it refers to a large group of people who have only one common characteristic: they settle here illegally - otherwise, they are as diverse as those who settle here legally.
#3 - Among both the legal and illegal immigrants you will find individuals who are America's "burden," and individuals who are America's "Helping Hand." You will find scores of recent legal immigrants on Medicaid and Public Assistance, as well as numerous legal immigrants driving cabs in New York City with a doctor or engineer diploma in their pocket.
#4 - Nobody would migrate here if he or she would not hope to find - and most do find - a better opportunity than in their native country, and by succeeding in their quest for a better life, they better our country.
So, a philosophical answer to your question would be "illegal immigrants are sort of a necessary headache..."

They are partly both. They are a burden because they take our jobs and they drain social security. Everybody is complaining about not having enough jobs. They also vote illegally and some bring along illeagal drugs. They are a helping hand by doing some jobs that we don't want to do however there is no solid evidence that we wouldn't do those jobs if there were no illegal immigrants. But the key word in this debate is "ILEAGAL."

The supposition that the illegal immigrants do the work that Americans won't do is insulting to one such as me. I have done those jobs and have seen how the illegals artificially drive wages down.
Yes we are a nation of immigrants but they were LEGAL and respected our laws. America has been made great by the rule of law and by the assimilation of many cultures to create a completely unique culture that is the envy of the world.

I agree with you. The Native American Indian held this land until they were placed on the reservations. Everyone else that is here is an illegal alien, except the Blacks, who were forced to live here for the profits of others.

No one in this land is illegal or legal..no one on this earth should be categorized as immigrant or resident...but sadly enough, we do categorize humans. For the most part people that arrive to this country get here to work...most of the next generation is the one that will give burden to the united States.....

Illegal is illegal. There are ways to get in legally. If illegal is now legal then lets just shoot, loot and rape each other. We made these rules to protect ourselves from things like what happened to the Indians. If they want to follow the rules, they are more than welcome.

Let's all just leave and give the land back to the Indians...
