Yes, but first everyone must rid their minds of the religious pollution that propels them through life. Get rid of the garbage, and life won't stink so bad.

Everyone talks about the 2 sides as if they are equally responsible for the carnage. That is not true. Israel has always wanted to live in peace but they were attacked by the arabs the first minute after they were declared a state by the U.N. in 1948. They are not equal. Israel has a few million people on land the size of New Jersey but the arabs, with all their oil and hundreds of millions of people have never been able to defeat them. There can't be peace unless both sides want it. Arafat had a great chance but was afraid to sign a peace treaty because he knew that if he did he would be murdered by the barbaric Islamic radicals just as Sadat had been after he signed a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt.

How can there be peace when the terrorists themselves can't even get along with each other?

of course. i've never met two kinds of people so close, so related, so much in common as the jew & muslims. when looking back over the history of the mid-east area, it's always been a trouble spot but not for the people within but for those who are outsiders. the roman empire had problems keeping the peace there, way back over a thousand years ago. in fact, the roman empire experienced the beginning of their decline around the same time the mid-east roman provinences were rebelling against their roman 'masters'. the english & germans experienced extreme difficulty since the 1920s. between wanting the area for real estate & the oil fields, it's been a cauldron of concern. want to build on the common-ness of arab & jew? want to build lasting bridges of socialibilty? want to do this all within one person's life time? first, take the oil wells, cap them off. kick out all non-native persons in the area, find another fuel source & take the arab & jewish statemens who preach hate & kick them out too. leave the area to those who want to build long a lasting & sustaining future. the arabs & jews have a history in the area and the history hasn't always been bloody. all others do not. usually i would suggest for people to look for the differences but in this case i would reverse that! it's the things that they have in common that bind. randomly pick two men or women from the area. without asking them to speak and just looking at their faces, how would you be able to tell them apart? who's a jew? who's an arab? in fact, each of their religion is based on the other. check out the diets of each & you'll see their common ground there, too. these points of common-ness are not earth-shattering but you've got to admit-it's a start!

Actually, there will be peace one day. My Bible thumping friend has apparently not read as much of the good book as they claim. Yes, there will be a peace. Count on that. Unfortunately, it will merely be a calm before a storm. Those two races have been at each other's throats since Isaac became Abraham's son.

i think the two state solution is a disaster and must be abandoned. Zionism is a disaster and must be adandoned. Semitic people should be allowed to immigrate to this Palestine place, perhaps including Jordan, and everyone should vote. (Jewish people should decide before the vote if they wouldn't rather live in USA or Germany or Russia. ) There should be a constitution protecting everyone's rights. If only religion could be banned there.... Or. here's a more radical idea - if only they'd learn to turn the other cheek. (Not that many christians have....)

As long as there is religion, there will be no peace. Irradicate religion and we'll go far in solving all of our problems.

And as far as peace betwen Jews and Muslims go, remember there can be no peace with Muslims. It has nothing to do with Jews so much as it has to do with Muslims hating everyone, even themselves.

I could fix it for them, but I wouldn't do it for free.

Have all of the main parties e-mail me and I'll tell them what has to happen, and how much it will cost them.

It's not going be easy, but if they all commit to my low, low interest peace purchase plan, I'll sort things out for them.

Peace in the Middle-East? I'll have them french-kissing in the streets within 7 days.

The common people like you and me want peace. The people that had suffered the loss of their loved ones on either side want peace but...POLITICIANS and GROUP LEADERS don't want it and they have the power.
The country has to finally be divided and each one has to respect their area (even though personally I think that Jews are invaders) and just live happily without invading anymore.

NO!! absolutely no. first off ISRAEL is not suppose to exist. those jewish settlers occupied the Palestinian land and like kicked them out of their land. that plain f_ up. The IDF oppresses the Palestinians and that's why the palestinians use terrorism as their weapon to get rid of israelis. Bomb shells exploding in the streets and palestinians dying for no reason. there can no long-term peace if israel continues to oppress and destroy neccessities of life..Kick Olmert out of office...is a good solution. Zionism is the problem!
