I hope so. Greens better represent liberal views and I hope Republicans implode with their power so Libertarians can take their place.

The Whigs are turning over in their graves at the mere mention of any comparison to the Democratic party!

If the Democratic party continues to embrace the looney far left, radical environmentalist, and anti-americans, then yes it is headed for the ash heap of history.
If the Democratic party wants to save itself, then it must send these loons back to their third-party status, and become the great, loyal American party of JFK, Truman, and FDR once again.
And to answer p2prox below, you mean like Lincoln ending slavery, or Eisenhower and desegregation, or Reagan who in 1986 obtained an overhaul of the income tax code, which eliminated many deductions and exempted millions of people with low incomes?
I think you view the world through liberal-stained glasses. Take them off, learn some history, and view the world the way it really is.

Democrats are the wave of the future.
Conservatives have tried to say they're the party of change but really that's an oxymoron. Democratic values have always been about change for the better, like noble civil/equal rights issues, etc. that makes it an incredibly noble party to be a part of.
Our world has only gotten more liberal over the years. Liberals will always be about change for the better and conservatives will always continue to fake it like they are.

Maybe. But they are so good at posturing on TV about how much they "care," that I think they'll be around for a while longer.
In fact, a recession would make them the majority party -- because the Republicans have turned into a group of superstitious bunko artists who look very unattractive unless the economy is booming.

is this a severe question? Democratic/Republican celebration are merely names of inner most political affiliations. they could call themselves Batman celebration and Superman celebration for all that count number number. the U. S. has continually chosen its presidents and homestead representatives by using customary election (even if traditionally particular phase of inhabitants which contain women human beings or blacks were excluded in the start). Senators changed into once elected by using state assemblies and not in any respect customary votes, yet this changed into replaced by using a constitutional change. Republic merely signifies that a authorities is ruled by using a set of folk, not a king. in america of a, the political means is endowed on congressmen, senators and (to convey volume) judges, subsequently that is a republic.

I think they're in deep trouble. They are controlled by extremists now. Anyway, it's about time we had another party. There's no law that says there can only be 2, and both now are so infested with corruption, lobbyists and money that they can't be changed.
