Conservatives tend to be very partisan, malicious, mean, heartless, etc. and I don't really trust them protecting any of our more liberal infrastructure. What do you think?

If they can crumble and destroy liberal ideology in any way, they will.

I have a hard time believing that there are people out there that think like this! You think that a president would allow a city to be attacked or destroyed just because they do not have the same beliefs that he does?

I am a conservative - one that does not agree with a lot of what Bush does. But, I don't think it is Bush I have to worry about. It's people like you that believe something this ridiculous that I worry about.

Oh wait, I know. You're a liberal media person aren't you?! Your a reporter for CNN or something right?

I have to respond to ZEE PRIME too... the people of New Orleans, the city of New Orleans, and the state of Louisiana had been told for many, many years that the city would not hold up to a large hurricane. Over all those years the people of New Orleans did nothing to prepare themselves, the city of New Orleans and it's elected, paid officials did nothing to prepare or protect the city and the state of Louisiana did nothing to improve the serious situation that it was fully aware of. Then, when a storm does hit and Bush just happens to be president, people throughout the world blame him! It was not Bush's fault that the storm hit, nor was it his fault that relief did not come in the manner and in the time that people wanted. The fault lies with the people who were unprepared and the local politicians who did not take care of those they were elected to take care of!!

That's crazy. There may be different parties but we're all Americans. This isn't Saddam in Iraq; the difference between Shiites and Sunnis. The difference between the two parties concerning cities is that Conservatives think the individual States should handle things more than the Feds. Conservatives don't believe in big Government. Reagan once said that the more you let the Feds do the less liberty you have. So actually party infrustructure, as you say, is retained... not punished.
What you suggest is partisan without education.

Look, I'm just a foreigner with friends in America, and the last time I visited the States was 27 years ago. But Bush's treatment of New Orleans sucked. No other developed country would have treated these people so badly. America is OK but Bush's government isn't much better than the Third Reich.

Actually, it's the other way around. It's the liberals who have become malicious sad to say. I think Bush is gracious compared to them. They wouldn't even let McCain speak at the New School in NYC. Whether you agree with someone or not you should be able to listen to them. And McCain is a war hero who nearly lost his life defending this country.

McCain a war hero? so was kerry, and you conservatives ****** him off. Did you follow the primaries for Bush Jr first term ? The Bush machinery morally destroyed McCain.
