Interesting answers so far. The reason I ask this question is under the premise that yes indeed their first attempts failed, but the leader has proven himself to be unpredictable, and that yes they may very well attack without provocation. Diplomacy from the U.S. along with many others has not exactly been effective. PLEASE prove me wrong, but try to be polite about it!

What day? That's an easy one. Their last day.
The day that North Korea attacks the U.S, will be the last day of North Korea.

To think it will never happen is naive. I have about as much of a chance answering this as I do picking the right numbers for this lottery tomorrow evening. Nonetheless, unlike the latter I believe this is inevitable. If Big Bad Kim is smart he would do it while he has the upper hand and the U.S. military is streched thin. I give him 3 months. 08/10/2006

This is an absurd question,in this modern world!! North Korea immdiately mentioned that the missiles they testes are only for their self defence just like any other country,such as US and UK.Dont you think the US ,and many other countries have testes their missiles before??,dont be a fool,they have..If US have right to build nuclear,have it,and they have used it before against a country everyone knows that,then why cant any other country have that right especially,North korea,Iran,Syria..North Korea or any other country are not going to attack any country...

never because it is a bluff. come on a full scale nuclear war with the US, the USSR didn't even want to do that. 3 nukes and n Korea is in the bronze age with clubs and spears Kim Jong isn't that stupid

Id say they will attack japan first since they still have tensions with them since ww2: medical experiments and what not. If that happen we will automatically have to fight for the Japanese since the states limit allot of what they do militarily wise.

they have to prove that they can launch a missile without it dropping in the ocean 5 min after takeoff i had bottlerockets on the 4th of july stay in the air longer than their missile's
