The other day, I caught the guy next door brushing the snow off his car into my driveway. Our driveways are next to each other. I told him not to do that, but he totally ignored me. I shoveled my own driveway, then I left for work. When I came home it looked like not only did he just dump the snow from his cars in my yard, but also blew the snow there from his blower into where I had shoveled. If this wasn't bad enough, the apartment house across the street looked (if I can read tire tracks and scrape marks) like their snow removal service plowed the snow from their parking lot over onto my property. I'm a middle-aged woman alone and they know that. What can I do about these people without coming off at too bitchy?

Why are leaf blowers so popular? Why don't people just use the leaf vacuums that are available to suck up leaves/debris. That just seems like it's be a much easier way to clean up, and you are removing the debris, not just blowing it around so they wind can blow it back!

Alright, so I'm finally moving out of my parent's house. No, I'm not a teenager, I'm in my mid 20s, so its about time!

I need any advice you can give me! (I have a job, so that isn't a problem!!!). What bills do you consider most important? What kinds of things should I stock my pantry with (like flour, vinegar, sugar, etc.) what are some basics you can't live without (Like your favorite kitchen appliance or tool), what do you wish someone would have told you before you moved out?

Thanks!

I have seen all the "it kills them instantly" but how? What if the most is longer than the trap... is it gonna cut them in half? Are there blades? Is it gonna drip blood when I move it? If there are no good answers then I am gonna have to buy one and disect it!!!

We are going to build a new home on acreage in the county surrounded by farmland and views of mountains.. I can't decide over a 2000 sq. ft. chestnut stained cedar log home or 2000sq. ft. two story reproduction farmhouse colonial. I love them both so much.

Hi, I live in a suburban home without much backyard space. Since my dad has a severe allergy to the petroleum fumes from our furnace, we depend on burning wood in the fireplace during the winter. The wood is seasoned, but due to a mishap, absorbed a huge amount of condensation and is very damp. Because this happened over the course of at least a month, its a good bet the wood is soaked all the way through. Winter air in Portland, Ore. is generally pretty humid. Does anyone have a surefire indoor method for drying the wood in 2 wks. to a month. Doesn't have to be bone dry just to a point where it is usable.
