I signed a lease for a house that I am renting. I listed my two nieces as occupants. I pay the rent and the house is rented in my name. I was wanting to know what rights do I have to make them move and how soon can I ask them to move out. Am I required to give them a 30 day notice or can I ask them to move out ASAP.
I no longer want them living there and I want them out immediately but I need to know what options that I have.

I am currently selling my house and their is an existing problem with my garage roof which needs replacing.Although the garage isnt joined to the house, but is a seperate concrete fabricated building, will it still be included in the survey and therefore the potential problem be found by the surveyor or can i get away with leaving the work undone?
p.s I wouldn't generally be so nasty but i just cant afford to get the work done.

I currently have a gas fired combi providing hot water and central heating for my first floor, 6 room Georgian tenament flat.

The current boiler is noisy and large.

We've been offered a new electric boiler.

My questions:

Will the electric boiler be quieter?
What is cheaper - gas or electricity?
What is the more environmentally friendly option?

I refuse to poison or kill them so don't even suggest that. How can I catch them to set them free outside? Do glue traps work and if so, how does one unstick the poor mouse?

I have mites in my apartment which are very annoying pests. I did some research on the internet and found a few chemicals that claim to get rid of these pests, but I need to know which one really works because these products are expensive and there are no money back guarantees if they don't work, ouch!!! Does anyone out there know or has had these mites and know what really works? I surely can appreceate any advice or information you can give. Thank You !

We have a friend Staying in our guest room untill he gets back on his feet and then finds a place to rent. He smokes in the guest room, we have told him not too under any circumstances and he apologised and said he wouldn't anymore. I have come home on different occasions and the guest room has obviously been smoked in. We have confronted him numerous times about it.

We have young children in our home. And the smell it leaves in the carpets and furniture is left for almost forever, not too mention numerous other reasons one should not smoke in other peple homes.

He has no where else to go and we don't want to have to kick him out onto the streets, but this needs to stop. Any ideas?

I can't believe how many times ours has fallen to the ground (carpet) and still works fine, talk about solid! My model is about, what, 30 years old? The outer shell is transparent, the inside parts are primary shades of yellow, green, blue and red. How old is the Princess model?

I was wondering if anybody knew how much it costs to asphalt a driveway, road? Or how it is calculated? Any information would help. My boyfriends mother, I think, just got scammed. These workers showed up and said they had left over ashpalt from a road they were paving down the street and asked if she wanted her driveway paved. They said they weren't sure how much they had left and if it would cover her driveway, and it would probably cost $600 but wouldn't go much over $1000. But, then they did a whole lot more and her bill was $4500 for a pretty small amount of paving that was done.

I have two or three (depending on perpective) male Australian housemates. As Aussies, they spend their life smoking, drinking and barbecuing in the back garden.

They have now developed a habit of going out for the day and leaving the back door open. Not even unlocked, but actually open. We are all professionals (as professional as it's possible for an Australian to be, anyway) so on any given weekday the house is open for ten hours or more.

We live in a mid-terrace house so their argument is that no-one can get into the backyard anyway. But I reckon that's rubbish; someone can get into an end-terrace house and therefore can make their way along the row from there.

The reason why I am awake posting questions at 3:00am is because I am too scared to go to sleep; the door was left open all day today.

We have nothing worth taking, but I worry about personal safety.

So my question is, what do you all think? Am I stupid to worry? Or should I go kick some Australian a55???

I have matching threaded PVC and galvanized, all new. Should I use white 'joint compound with teflon" which you would use to connect galvanized to galvanized, or should I used purple primer for PVC + PVC cement, or something else, or both?
