I just changed my vanity fixture, now both the backplate & faceplate are warm to the touch. Is it supposed to be warm?Did I do something wrong?
I bought T3 -130V halogen bulbs for my fixture. The instructions say I need the T3's 78mm, but does not say what voltage that I need. Should I be getting 110 or 120V? Do they even exist? Canada uses 110/120v correct? What's the difference?

Okay..we have a pretty small kitchen and the stove is getting old. It is in an island that sticks out in the middle of the kitchen and we need to replace it. I would really like to find one of those double ovens that sit up on their own that doesn't have the buttons and stuff on the back, but on the front so the island and the stove are flush rather than having the control panel sticking up over the stove so can anyone tell me where I can find one of these (within a decent price range). And no, I cannot rearrange the kitchen because it's really tiny and every inch is used for its purpose.
Thanks in advance.

I turned on the bathroom light and power went out(just the bathroom area and half the outlet in my master bed room not the whole house). The individual circuit isn't tripped. I switch it off and turn it back on and still no luck. Sometimes the power comes back but went out again. What's the possible cause for this issue? Should I replace the entire fuse box or just the individual circuit? Thx alot for your time.

There are no problems using one hot water, and one cold water, only when there are two hots being used.

live in an upstair condo(A201), and this incident involves ceiling & wall repair in downstair unit(A101).

The first incident happend less than 3 months ago, which was 4 months after I bought this condo. At that time, the plumber who was called in by an insurance company, reported this as an improper installation. The previous owner installed toilet AFTER she installed bathroom tiles and ON the tiles, so eventually the insurance company refused my claim. I had another plumber fix it, but he didn't remove the tiles, saying if he leveled the flange on the same height of the tiles, he didn't need to remove the tiles. So, he installed flange and wax gasket without removing the tiles. Needless to say, I also had to pay for the damage for A101.

We've tried chicken wire and many other various methods to no avail. Extermination is an option but chemicals are not.

It is gas it was here when I moved in and all I have had before is something you set on heat and move the lever over to how hot you want the house to be . This one is not like that I do not know if the fan has to be on with the heat is does the unit outside need to come on when the heat in the house comes on . Why is their cold air comming out of the vents when it is on with the fan . I know nothing about if it is water I know nothing about it at all that is why I am trying to find out how to set it.

I have a Magic Chef gas oven (model no. 8113P560-60R) in my apartment. The pilot light won't stay on for more than a day or two. Only one or two burners will light. The oven flame is intermittent as well.

This is becoming aggravating.

On the back of the limit switch are the following numbers:

L160-4.0 R8V

What do these numbers mean? The schematics for my electric furnace list the limit switch as 160°.

i was using the microwave, and the power dimmed and then shut off the power to the front of my kitchen(1-plug outlet and 1-light fixure)and the rear of my living room(2-plug outlets) the walls are almost back to back besides a stairway to the upstairs that seperate the two walls. no fuse was blown! i reset all the fuses in the fuse box(switched them off and then back on. normaly when something like that happens it would blow a fuse. what could this be and cause this to happen. its xmas and all my funds are spent and cant afford a elec. at the moment. also is it safe or could there be a wire behind the wall burning or popping ready to start a fire? but if that was the case it would of blown a fuse. im lost cant figure out what it could be and scared to go to sleep just in case something does happen and need to get the family out. i hope theres a electrican on that could give me a few pointers on what it may be. thanks

We accidentally received exterior paint instead of interior for our dining room and kitchen. We didn't notice it until it was already painted. I know exterior painting is harmful to our health so I need to know how to fix it. Can we just paint over it or do we need to tear down the walls and put new sheet rock on there and start painting all over again. Please help!! I think its making my parents sick.

I live on the top floor of a woodframe building with a concrete layer between my floor and the unit below. The problem is I can hear the people below when they slam their doors. Earplugs don't help because the noise is a vibration. Is there anything I can do to reduce this noise?
