Well a couple of day ago my ceiling fan was on and now I pull the cord and its goes to low, pull again and it goes to High, keep on pulling and its the same pattern, I know cause I stopped the fan with my hand and it constantly runs, it only has 2 settings now, Low and High, it won't turn off unless i turn the lights off but i need the lights. Please Help its making the room really cold!

Most fans have a reversing switch,just set in the middle...

Yes! your fan is Haunted, and it's going to need to be exorcised before it will work again normally. You can do this with some help from a few friends. Get as many people as will fit in the room with the fan to dance naked in a circle while shouting "begone evil fan spirits", waving their hands over their heads, and making faces to frighten them away. The room will feel warmer immediately!

The pull switch on the inside of the fan is wired wrong or shorted out. Take the fan switch portion out of the fan and check it out for bare wires touching or melting parts. You can replace the switch yourself and they can be purchased at your local hardware, Lowe's or Home depot type store.
You can disconnect the fan temporarily until you get the switch replaced.

okay. first turn off your light so you dont get hurt while in the proccess, and if you REALLY want it off. ..... unscrew your fan, and disconnect the power cord to it. and if it keeps going then.... your screwed, and your fan is haunted.

your pull chain switch went bad, go to a local hardware store and get a new one - make sure it is a three speed switch
