I had to shut off my main water valve (the one before the meter in my basement) because I had a leaking faucet to which my washing machine was connected. I have no valve between the meter and the washing machine.

When I shut off the main line to make repairs to the washing machine faucet, I turned on the faucet in the bathroom sink.

After making the repairs and turning on the water at the main, all of my faucets, showers, etc are working except the faucet I left open during the repairs. It just drips when I turn it on.

What could the problem be? How can I fix it?
Thanks

My lawnmower hit a piece of lumber hiding in the deep grass & it stopped the blade suddenly. Now it has no power & dies frequently & adjusting the needle valve does no good. I'm told it might have sheared the key. There is a man who has a shop on wheels, but he charges $60 just to come out to the house. Would you say it is an 'easy', 'medium', or a 'big job'?

Mine is about 3 years old and typically pushes water out about once per hour. Lately, with all of the rain in our area, it has been working overtime, running about 10 times per hour.

Should I be considering the purchase of a replacement?
Thanks.

It leaks on the bottom on the right side. I don't have an ice maker or water dispenser, so I don't think there is a water line going to it that could be leaking. My freezer is fine, no defrosting needed and there is no condensation on the inside or outside of the fridge. The puddle (which there is a new one everyday no matter how much I clean it up) seems to be a brownish color and I'm confused! Any suggestions or similar problems?

Several months ago I noticed my water pressure dropped, But thought I was imagining things. Then when I was watering my lawn my neighbor came out to water hers, and as soon as she turned hers on, my water pressure dropped. Now my water pressure has dropped some more and I am curious as to what could be causing this and some ways to figure out what the issue is. Thanks in advance for any advice. By the way I have city water, if this matters.

When we lived in an apartment it seemed like I hit this steel stud everytime I would try to hang pictures with a nail. Eventually, after hammering for 5 or 6 times, I will finally get sheetrock that I can hammer the nail into. We just purchased a brand new home and these homes are made from a steel frame. I am running into the same issue when trying to hammer the nail, except it seems like the nail is springing back out the hole.

How can I tell right off the bat, a good place to hang my pictures WITHOUT putting a million holes in the wall?

I have one breaker that controls 3 overhead lights, and 3 outlets. All of a sudden, 2 overheads, and 1 outlet don't work. (They would be the ones furthest from the breaker) Nothing has been changed. Checked the wirenuts for anything loose, but they are OK. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you so much

Our house is new construction from three years ago. We have an outdoor air conditioning unit. Everything was fine until the other day. We've been having very dry conditions in our area and then it started pouring rain and that's when my boyfriend notice about an inch of ice around the pipe connecting to the house. The air conditioner hasn't cooled our house since and it's burning hot in here... help!
I'd like any information on what the problem is and also a quick fix without calling a repairman. Thanks.
