I had to shut off my main water valve (the one before the meter in my basement) because I had a leaking faucet to which my washing machine was connected. I have no valve between the meter and the washing machine.

When I shut off the main line to make repairs to the washing machine faucet, I turned on the faucet in the bathroom sink.

After making the repairs and turning on the water at the main, all of my faucets, showers, etc are working except the faucet I left open during the repairs. It just drips when I turn it on.

What could the problem be? How can I fix it?
Thanks

You have an air lock. Connect a length of hose (tightly clipped on) from the working tap (faucet) to the dry one. Open the dry tap (faucet) then open the working one. This should clear the air lock. Turn off the working one then the dry one and remove the hose. You may have to repeat this a couple of times.

Try removing the aerator at the faucet and cleaning it. Sometimes when You close a valve, particles break off and plug the aerator.
