Hello!
I am looking for a GFI / rocker cover plate that snaps into position rather than being screwed on. Does anyone know where to get them?
Thanks

My water heater is draining water nightly. It seems to occur more frequently and is louder than normal. Could it be that it is the summer time and I am not using as much hot water as I would in the winter? It is a gas (not electric) water heater.

I read that the heater does it if the water gets too hot. How can I tell that the reason it is draining is OK or when should I start to worry?

Thanks!

Someone told me to use white toothpaste to fix the holes from trying to hang up a picture.
They are pretty small holes on a white wall and I have white toothpaste but I'm just wondering If this is the best or easiest way to fix the hole because I live in an apartment and need to fix the holes before I leave so any tips on how I should do that? thanks

I have a small gasoline generator, that I have bought to use in case of a hurricane, I can turn it on and still have my dads oxygen machine running. My concern is that I do not have a garage or a carport. Where could I run this without the rain messing it up? If I build a small dog house for it I am scared that it will overheat due to the fact that it is air cooled. Any suggestions?? Please help.

I have a very small gas stove (24-26 inches wide). The grates are very close to the flame. I burn everything! I cooked sauce tonight, and I had the flame as low as I could get it before it went out. (the flame was the size of a baby pea...even smaller...) It still burned and stuck to the bottom and this was only after 15 min! I also cannot use the flame on high, becuase it will start to melt the handle of my small saucepans. Granted, water boils in less than 2 minutes......hahahahaa... The oven and broiler are great, tho.

Sometimes I smell natural gas near our fireplace logs. I seem to become very drowsy when in this room for an hour or more. I never burn the logs and I can't seem to tighten the shut-off valve anymore. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have a water pressure pump connected to a large water tank on a holiday shack. It runs from a 600W/800W modified square wave inverter. When I plug it in, I can hear the motor running but it is not pumping any water. This is a pump that has a pressure bladder sitting on top of it. The noise it makes is quite loud, but I can't see that anything is moving (when looking at the end, there is some kind of cooling fan that looks to be connected to the main drive that is stationary, it looks like it wants to move, but isnt getting anywhere). The tank is full and on the same level as the pump/shack. Without the pump running, I can turn on a tape and water dribbles out, so I am thinking this is not an issue with priming etc. From what I understand, the modified square wave input should be fine too. Any ideas as to what I should check/what may be wrong? Any traps to look out for if I get a qualified peron to fix it? Am thinking I may be better of replacing with a cheap pump?

I currently have an apartment stacked washer dryer combo, but want to purchase a separate washer and separate dryer, but the guy at Sears said I needed a 220 outlet for the dryer. Does it indicate on the circuit breaker what kind of outlet is attached to that circuit?

What would be the least expensive way to do a repair of the flooring that would last? The flooring is totally exposed to the sun and rain. Thanks I am a DIY person.

As you're sitting on the mower, the left hand side steering arm keeps popping off the ball that holds it on. How can I fix this problem? Can I just replace the ball part and pop the steering arm on again? Thanks.

I have this lawn mower that has a problem staying running, after i prime it 3/4 times it turns on then after only a few seconds it turns off. I changed the spark plug and it seems to be passing sparks fine. I thinks its the carburetor that is not passing gas. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix it and if i were to take off the caburetor would it be a hasle to put it back on. The lawn mower is a weed eater 4.75hp and i've only had it for about a year.

i have a murry lawn mower with a 5 hp briggs and stratton that is 2 years old. when i start the mower it will get up to normal rpm for about 1-2 seconds and shut off. i have fresh gass in it, oil level full and a new air filter. i use a small bit of seafoam in the gas every so often to keep the carb clean. it seems to be a fuel cutout but i dont see a filter anywhere. anyone have any advice on what i should do next??????
