The ONLY saw available to me for a certain project, has a loose blade and I can't seem to figure out how to tighten it.
If you can find a good troubleshooting guide, that helps too. Thanks!

-Shower/tub valve stem on cold side is stripped.
-The "universal" replacement knob lasts a few weeks (rental property).
-Only the stem comes through the tile. No access for stem removal.
-Prefer not to tear out tile or break into drywall from back.

Need a solution! This is a rental property so I need a "robust" and cheap fix.

Thanks!

We have low water flow, pressure is fine. When using 1 source, it is fine, but when using 2 or more sources at the same time, flow drops tremendously. Had a plumber inspect the lines, all looked OK in the house, I suspect and issue on the main coming in, water company is ignoring me.

i purchases this MTD yard machine last year from home depot, i only used it once or twice this season. but i notice when its started there was a little white smoke that blew out, but it ran fine. well yesterday we added oil, and was running it, then noticed a big cloud of white smoke and we hurried and shut it off. I was planning to get it the servicing this week, but wanted to hurry and cut before the rain, i have concerned about starting it up right now. i am taking it today to get the oil change, spark plug changed and lube, but very curious on the white smoke

I live in a rental house in Hollywood and it does not have a air conditioner. I was looking at a portable AC, but found them at costco for $500 (tooo much). I heard Swamp Coolers are great in the dessert, but what about in L.A?

Also, if I was to get a regular AC, will it work without having to put it into a window?

When i turn the dial to D (to drain excess water), it keeps turning to the line that means it has stopped, without actually draining the water. Is it going to be a big job or is it something i can fix myself (bearing in mind i'm useless with electricals)

The folks that lived here before me put ceramic tile on the hall floor and now tha door drags duh...I am very home maintenance oriented but I cannot figure how to get the door out to cut it....My cabnet installer looked at it and said yup you got a problem you have to rip the dry wall off the hall side to get at the door to ( i need to cut off or adjust it up 1/8 to1/4 inch ) I cannot beleive that there is no adjustment or that to get the door out you have to rip the wall apart but I cannot figure it out its like an IQ test I am blowing... Help...thanks Lenny

The bannister on the staircase near same wall also vibrates, but I cannot hear any type of similar noise when I go outside. Could other traffic noises be masking the source? It goes on all night long and cannot be heard in other parts of the house. I do not have on any electronics near that wall and cannot figure out why it is doing it.

Do you know of a chat room to find other people who have been impacted by the same tradesperson? This is a flooring tradesman in Melbourne?

We have been left high and dry but the guy is a ghost ie false address, I believe company is unregistered, no ACN etc

I want to prosecute him and stop him from doing the same to others but I cannot find him. He has basically stolen money from us.

Thanks

we are going to replace our old furnace. the guy that gave us an estimate said it came over on the mayflower, but we know it is over 100 years old. it has the old radiators. the forced air installed is cheaper, plus i hate trying to clean around them. in the long run though, which would be the best one? the estimate was 2,500 for forced air including duct work, and 4000 for the boiler

I am about to start buffing an outback stake house and eventually I know they may want it stripped and waxed. I have stripped and waxed tile floor forever but not ever messed with hardwood. do you HAVE to sand after you strip or would you just run a black pad over it and take off the dirty top coats of wax and reapply a few new coats that way you don't go down to bare wood.
