got new windows put in by pure cowboys trading standards are involved, the windows look pure crap the finishing details are crap ,we have been trying to get things sorted since last september and we are hitting our heads against a brick wall anyway trading standards are on our side helping us they say the next thing we have to do is get an independant person out to look at the windows and report the faults which we know are already there anyway and the cowboys know them to although other faults have now arisen since they were out,the cost of an independant person from trading standards can cost £100-£150 which is expensive, why should i have to pay that when we already know whats wrong and this only means that the cowboys have to come back and try and fix their mess again-we have already had several attempts at that ,am i within my rights that when it comes to us paying our bill we should deduct this fee from it because if the job was done right first time we wouldnt be here

We have a Payne Plus 90 gas furnace. It just doesn't keep the house warm anymore. A couple of winters ago, we had this problem and the service man told us that it isn't designed to operate below 25 degress. It sits in the garage. That sounds crazy. This winter, it isn't working well either.

So what happens is that it turns on, and only runs for maybe 6-8 minutes before shutting off. It might be hours before it comes back on again. We are calling someone to come out next week, but I am just wondering what we could possibly check for this weekend to get it going.

We checked the water drain trap, and cleared it. It did not have a clog or build up of water.

We replaced the thermostat in the house because we first thought it just wasn't sensing the right temperature. The replacement one has a digital thermometer, and it is right, it is like 65 degrees in here! brrr
thanks

The knob doesn't turn on by itself, but if you are in the shower, the hot water knob will turn and make it hotter. You can watch and see it turn by itself. And no- there isn't ghosts doing it!
I hope someone knows what to do to stop this because my freind is getting tired of it.

I have 2 white rings on my bathroom brown laminate countertop. They were made when I placed a can of tile cleaner on the counter while I cleaned the tub tiles.

The counter is a plain dark brown laminate and the white rings really stand out.

They are in a spot you can't cover up.

Does anyone have any ideas how to cover the stain up? (I don't think it can be removed as I think it was 'bleached in' stain)
