well this could be a couple of things. very rarely the blower on the fridge will go out. but the most likely cause is a small freon leak in your condensor or evaporator. this is a very common problem and usually occurs when the fridge gets moved or bumped. unless you know someone in the hvac field or it was a really expensive fridge then your probally betterr off buying a new on in the long run.

The fan in the freezer compartment cools the refrigerator. If the fan is bad then there will be no cold air in the refrigerator but the freezer is still cold. Or the compressor is bad or a leak in the refrigeration lines. All of which are bad news for the pocket book.
I'd investigate a new appliance if I were in your shoes.

There are several variables possible with the limited information given. Your problem could be that the evaporator coils are covered with thick ice and need defrosted. This can be done by turning the fridge off while you empty the freezer compartment and use a blow dryer to melt ice away from the coils. I day this because i assume it is a frost free ref. now the jproblem could be a faulty defrost timer or heating element located among the coils to provide heat to defrost them. Just a low buck way to eliminate these possible causes. Of course if the ref. is worth the trouble.

The only place "air" should be coming out is from the cooling fan in the back, underneath the fridge. This has nothing to do with the fridge except the cooling of the compressor. If the fan is going, your O.K. that is when it's running.
