Well I was wondering if anyone could help me:
A few years back we had a massive ant problem and my mum used these little traps.
It was like a circle box with a little hole in then you fill it with sugar, but in the sugar is poison or something like that.
I know this might sound strange but is there anywhere i could get information and maybe a picture of these contraptions for homework?

We have a dimmer switch on our front room lights that has stopped dimming when turned. Anybody any idea what the problem is? Does the entire switch need to be replaced? Is it something that we could replace ourselves?

Stone basement walls have been cemented and then skim coated with concrete (circa 1938). There are bubbles in places from what I assume is moisture damage or possibly flood damage from years ago (1972 as indicated). I am knocking this stuff off and recoating to make it all appear smooth and uniform.

I want to paint it... should I use a primer first or is paint made for concrete good enough on it's own?

Hi,
I have done a Garage addition. I am in the process of running the wire. My question has to do with the Romex. I want to run it in between the studs. Yet, I do not want to put wallboard in I hope to keep the studs exposed. Is this OK? or should I put it in flexible conduit? Or is there a better way

Thanks for your time,
pb4sc

My toilet used to work well, now when it hasn't been used in a couple of hours there is barely any water in the bowl.
When I flush it once the water comes in and allows me to flush normally to remove the waste in the toilet.
Can anyone help me with this problem, thank you

The burners won't start up all the time and unit is just blowing cold air. If I wiggle and unplug / plug wires back into the module, the burners start up and unit runs correct. The furnace came with the house and I have no operators manual. This all happened at 3:00 am so I wasn't totally alert and didn't read the coding from the indicator light. I will be taking a closer look today after work but I was just wondering if anyone with this model of furnace had the same problem and what did they do to fix it.

I'm trying to see how long a mains (240v) Halogen Heater will run for from a Car battery (not connected to engine, just standalone). I want to use an Inverter connected to the car battery which will convert 12volts to 240volts to power the heater. The Inverter is rated at 600watts, and the Heater is 400watts, so how long will it run for before going flat? Anyone help do the maths/theory for me?
