I have very little if any insulation in the walls of my house, and the floors are starting to feel damp or wet. My brother thinks my walls are sweating. Does this reasoning sound correct? Anything I can do to prevent this? This has just become a problem in the last week or so.

My owner is currently in the process of installing a heater, but my house is freezing cold. I am thinking of trying to heat it up with an oven. Does anyone know if that's possible and would it be dangerous?

Hi there,

I am looking for a company who manufactures and or sells Portable Power Outlets. You know, like the power outlets in our walls at home.

Instead, this one can be used indoors/outdoors and be Battery Operated. Like a 3 Prong outlet, but not attached to a wall, uses batteries instead.

Are these even on the market? I have been looking online and have found nothing.

Thank you......... :-)

very large open areas with 2 air conditioner units, but we really only want & need to run 1 at a time for cost effectiveness but because we cannot close off one of the areas, the air conditioners cannot work effectively - we don't own the home - we are renting the property

We just moved in and we're both fireplace idiots. There's a gas pipe in the back of the fireplace and it works, but we don't know what to do next. Can we burn regular logs in there? Will the house blow up? lol Do we have to use gas logs?

Know of any websites where we can learn how to use it? Thanks a lot.

I live in a 100 year old house that needs insulation. I know I need to be very careful and not get something that can mold or settle. I'm at a loss on what I can use. I know there is some kind of new spray that poofs up alot and is light and air tight. Anyone know about this? What else can I use?

out of the ground with a cap on it. The cap is missing a chunk of it but it still screws on but when it rains water and stuff can get in it. What is this thing, and does it matter that it's broken, and if so, where do I get a new cap for it and what is the cap called? Thanks.

My apartment window faces another apt window adjacent to mine, so if I open my window/curtain the other apt can see into my room, and I don't like that. However, I want to be able to get a breeze and air (particularly in summer) and also be able to get natural sunlight. Any ideas without having to compromise privacy?
