Your doorbell operates on one of the "low-power" PUBLIC RF bands (Radio Frequency). So does the neighbors remote garage door opener. Unfortunately, they are probably on the same band or "harmonically related" bands.
Apparently, your receiver (at the doorbell end) does NOT have good rejection and/or is NOT "coded", and responds to ALL nearby transmissions in the band, (or a "harmonic" of the band.)
Considering the low prices I have seen on these doorbells, it may have NO rejection; in which case be glad the neighbor doesn't have a kid with a Radio Shack RC car!!)
Under the law, there is nothing you CAN do except try a different brand of doorbell maybe. One with a different operational frequency; THERE ARE SEVERAL BANDS. (The frequency should be listed in the specifications!)
You COULD switch to a WIRED bell!

Check with your neighbour and see if she has the kind of opener that you can change the code. If this is the case it should cure the problem. If it doesn't check inside the doorbell and see if there are tiny switch's if there is move one and see if that helps other wise its new doorbell time

Does the doorbell have other frequencies to choose from? There should be a way to change the frequency if it's interfering with another wireless signal.

well if your close to your neighbor, you can go and tell them the situation and they can change the frequency of their garage door opener. there are settings on the remote and the garage door opener, and they have to change both of the settings. they can't just change one of the settings, otherwise their remote wont work to open the garage door. both setting have to be changed to the same settings. usualy there is like six switches inside the remote. they have a down position, middle, and up, so they have to use the same settings on the remote and the garage opener.

Wait till he back out, then ring your own doorbell. When his door comes down on his car tell him to change frequencies. Or you can just ask him to.

My tv used to off and on when neighbor used his remote. They must be on same frequency. One of you needs to go to dealer or manufacturer and change the frequency. Just to know...does his garage door go up when someone rings your bell?
