The peg on the radiator that your put the "key" onto is damaged. The edges have been worn down from repeated bleeding, and now I cannot get it to turn. Any suggestions what I can do, or do I need to call out a plumber?

This is my first Travel Trailer. It's a 70's airstream. I have it hooked up to a parks sewage. Yesterday the toilet wouldn't flush at all. The hose to the sewage was blocked up a little, I picked the hose up to help it along and cleared that line. I put some of the septic treatment which brakes down the waste in the toilet yesterday; it looked as it had worked pretty well after a number of hours but still no flush. I also tried some roto rooter after that. The contents seem pretty liquified. I should clarify that the toilet did attempt to flush at points, water came in but nothing actually flushed. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to try next, I've tried holding down the foot pedal flush with no water, to my understanding the toilet has a door which opens to flush the toilet, but not much if anything has gone down yet. I don't have any diagrams or knowledge really of how the holding tanks work. Are they full? Do I need to do something to bypass the tanks if connected to sewage?

It's recessed into the ceiling, with no obvious hinges, knobs, or latches. The clear plastic cover that the light shines through doesn't move out of the way. The cover of the fixture is almost flush with the ceiling.

We have a new house which is a year old now and we have noticed in the middle of the night that there is something in the attic scratching and moving around. I do not know if it is a bird or squirrel up there. Somehow something got up there and moves around at night. The only possible way it could have gotten in was in this vent in the front of the house which I believe it could be a bird up there trying to get out. These are new homes and absolutely no trees around the area, but it could still possibly be a squirrel up there. There is a latch door in the garage which goes to the attic. Would it be a good idea to open the garage door and open the latch door in the ceiling and possibly the critter will find its way out?? Thanks for whatever advice you can give me.

The dryer tumbles, but no heat. Yes, it is on the right setting. I checked the main breaker, and that is fine. Is there anything it could be, besides a broken element?

I just had a brand new 3 car garage built. The slab is a 4 inch slab, with monolithic footings. The ground seemed to be compact well with lots of gravel and the contractor used mesh during the poor. There were no stress cuts placed in the concrete, it was one solid pour. The slab looked great to me after it was finished. However, about the past month or so, I developed about 25 various cracks in the slab. Most started out as very think, barely noticeable cracks, but they all seem to be getting wider and longer. I can tell these cracks are likely to continue expanding. I know some cracking is normal, but when or how do you know if there are too many?

I have a bath tub/shower stall I need to replace. I have no way to get underneath it, because it's in a basement bathroom with a concrete floor. How do I connect the drain pipe from the tub to the drain pipe in the floor, and insure it's sealed(water tight).

When I wash dishes in the dishwasher, they come out covered in tiny food particles or something. =/ Usually the dishes on the top shelf, but sometimes the bottom, too. Like, there'll be pools of water in all the glasses, with gross junk floating in them all. U_U Or if I wait a while to unload the dishes, all the particles will be dried on. It's annoying! I have to wash them all again when I take them out.
Now, I have had other dishwashers that leave behind little particles and junk on the dishes, but this is just way in excess of that.
So, what do I need to do?? Is there a filter that needs changing, or some part of it that needs cleaning out??
Thanks so much!!

My hot tub builds a lot of foam up when I kick on the jets. It looks like the inside of a washing machine! Foam dissapates quickly when you shut off the jets but the mounds of foam are annoying. Anybody deal with this? TIA, HB

This mower burns oil, and I think the rings are shot. I'm going to get around to getting another junk mower, but for the time being, do you think I can get by with mowing just once with no oil in the crankcase? It's a pain right now because I have to constantly clean the plug... perhaps 15 times in a single session of mowing the lawn. Do you have any ideas for a flammable lubricant I can put in there that will burn cleanly enough to not foul the plug? (I considered using 2-stroke oil or even gasoline in the crankcase.) Keep in mind that I'm not interested in any spectacular longevity... just to get me through until I can replace it.

On the second floor the heater works fine but on the first level it seems the heater is not working it gets really really cold. I tried to feel if warm air is blowing, it is blowing but too weak. I am just wondering what could be the problem. Will appreciate all the replies. Thanks.
