This is my first Travel Trailer. It's a 70's airstream. I have it hooked up to a parks sewage. Yesterday the toilet wouldn't flush at all. The hose to the sewage was blocked up a little, I picked the hose up to help it along and cleared that line. I put some of the septic treatment which brakes down the waste in the toilet yesterday; it looked as it had worked pretty well after a number of hours but still no flush. I also tried some roto rooter after that. The contents seem pretty liquified. I should clarify that the toilet did attempt to flush at points, water came in but nothing actually flushed. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to try next, I've tried holding down the foot pedal flush with no water, to my understanding the toilet has a door which opens to flush the toilet, but not much if anything has gone down yet. I don't have any diagrams or knowledge really of how the holding tanks work. Are they full? Do I need to do something to bypass the tanks if connected to sewage?

You need to get a hose and get some water into your holding tank. When you are hooked up at the park keep your drains closed until the holding tank fills up and then empty it, make sure you run plenty of water with each flush. When you leave your drain open the water runs out and the solids stay behind and build up and creates real problems. You just need to keep running water through it to wash everything out. They also sell a wand type thing that you can stick down in there to wash the holding tank out good once you have it all cleaned out.

I think you will have to dismantle to clear the blockage. For what it's worth I always tell my visitors and family that nothing should be put into the toilet unless it has been eaten first.
