Near the front door, my neice plugged the vacumn cleaner to vacumn one of our cars. The other end of the house my sister was blow drying her hair, in her bathroom which is off her bedrooms suddenly in several areas of the house, the lights went out. I ran back to the Electrical Panel , one of the breakers tripped. I turned it back on ,then off and on. Even though it did not trip the circuit, a second time, We still have no lights in major areas of the home. Does any one out there have knowledge as to how we may get our lights back on, without calling an electrician. We are hoping it is something simple . We are trying to find all ways to take care of this situation before paying someone to come out. Please professional, and or experience with this type of thing ,would be greatly appreciated.

The silver coating is oil based and I do have the fiberglass tape for the seams but I don't know what the best sealant is to use on the seams around the swamp cooler, edges of the roof, cross seams and vents.
What is the brand name and/or description of the sealant?

I have (mills Pride) particleboard kichen cabinets that got
waterlogged and now am unable to get rid of the cocoroaches. I
tried Raid, Combat, boric acid, fogging etc, to no avail?
I need a definetive answer that is safe for humans, and does not
require replacing the cabinets.
counter top is granite tiles on cement backer board on plywood.

We are going to be selling our house and don't want questions raised about the integrity of the windows, which I really think work great. It's just from winter condensation and having the windows open at other times of year. I tried Howard's Restor-a-Finish and it didn't work. So, do we need to sand and revarnish these or will a home inspector ding us on this? Is this just one of those wear n tear things that won't matter in the long run, or will it be imparative to repair it? I don't know how this works for little stuff like this.

I have a brand new car that I REALLY want to make sure isn't damaged. However, my garage isn't very wide, so it's very easy to bump up against the walls on either side when entering or leavign and get paint and scratches on the car. I already have one scratch on the side. :-(

Other than stopping use of the garage, what are my options? I've thought about taping thin polysterene packing material (the kind that comes in TV and computer boxes) on the walls of the garage. Any other ideas? Whatever I do shouldn't take up a _lot_ of space because then my car wouldn't be able to get in. :-)

I don't own the place, so whatever I do has to be removable too.

I have a beautiful wood floor in my home (my husband is a floor installer) he freaked out when he saw me using water and vinegar to clean it with (bit of dish soap too). He said NO WATER!! But he didn't have a good suggestion for what to use. He just said get a floor cleaner. Most floor cleaners I see are also polishes. I don't want to polish a dirty floor...right? Please help.

Would propane addition be good? switch completely to $ oil $ There are 2 fireplaces but do not want to get into wood stoves, because this was my inlaws house and i rent it out and don't want the tennants burning it down.. My husband was going to handle this but just died suddenly of cancer. I know I dont HAVE to upgrade, tennants pay for heat, but I can deduct cost of upgrade on taxes and make the house more attractive to potential tennants (winter heating costs top 800/month!) its about 2500 sq. feet.
ONE MORE THING since I still have 400 characters :-) What kind of caulk should I use (A)around outside doors and (B) around the bathtub surround? 2 different types? Thanks in advance, look for more queries in future!!
