Bear with me, I'm an amateur gardener: when planting bulbs in the fall, how often do you have to water them? I followed the planting guide for what month to plant and how deep in the soil, etc, and it said to water them after planting. Only immediately after planting, or as often as I water my other flowers?

I have several sunflower plants growing in my back yard. Some of them have big flowers on them and are drooping. This is the first year I have grown sunflowers and I am not sure when to cut them down.

There's a node, bump, "nipple" looking thing at the base of my orchid(where the leaves sprout). This bump is green like the plant, and looks as if it's growing out of the plants base. I'm just curious, is this the new flowering spike that 's growing? or something else. the old spike has been cut, and the plant has produced a new leaf already. The plant is very healthy, this I already know. It receives enough light from the artificial flourescent grow light and the light from the window.

The plant is basically this one thick stem (never maintained) with a few branches off of it. Even the branches are like tree-thickness.

I am wondering about fertilizer and if they require full sunlight or shade. Also how much watering. They were looking kind of bad for a day or 2 after I worked long hours away from home and forgot to water them. They were dried out...So, I gave them a good bit of water yesterday and they already look better. I re potted them this morning in bigger pots.
Now how do I keep them pretty and blooiming?

We just moved to a new home that has a HUGE flower bed. I have no clue about gardening or flowers!! I'd like to know, what kinds of bushes and flowers would look nice together and cover some space. Also low cost.. Thank you so much in advance =)

Does anyone know what tiles you can and cannot use for a Firepit? My husband is hand building a fire pit in our backyard. What types of tile can go outside and withstand heat and rain?

I don't want to bring them in. Do you cut them back and put them in the garage? Will they come back next year like this? Or do you just toss them and buy new ones next year?

I live in Georgia and it is getting cooler, we moved in a new house and the hydrangeas still have the old wood (no blooms) from last year (spring). Would it hurt them if I cut it off now? They look awful!!! They are starting to bloom and get fuller but it would look much better if I can cut it off without killing them!
