Does anyone have any great suggestions for keeping spiders away?? I know they've came out with a contraption that you can plug into your electrical outlet and it's supposed to scare them away, but I just don't think that would work. I'm deathly afraid of them and it's getting close to that season!! Please help.

I saw on a website a suggestion to use old tires as a container for plants. Is this safe if the plants are to be eaten? What are some of the potential risks?

Also, what is a good place to get old tires?

There are patches of grass missing in my front yard from the previous owners having a huge pot with plants in it sitting on the grass. There is some grass growing back in that area but there are also those scary looking weeds too. What should I use to grow new grass there but kill the weeds that are trying to grow there?
Also, in my back yard there is a circular patch of grass missing around my tree. It looks like it either doesn't grow well there because when the leaves grow on the tree there is too much shade or the previous owners dogs would not allow it to grow by doing their business there. What can I use to grow grass in that shady area?

I don't really care about my backyard's grass but it's really green and lush...my front yard however is the one I care more about and the grass is dying and I need to revive it before April 24....

It is possible that I can switch the grass around? Would it be faster than trying to revive it? Will it stay green once the front yard is replaced?

Hi! I live in Canada (NE of Toronto) and we are moving to a new subdivision and having our new house built. Well, surprise surprise there is a big green electrical box on the front corner of my lawn. I think it will be on the other side of the sidewalk . We are located right next to a parkette. You would think they could of pushed it over in front of the park. Can you paint these boxes? Are we allowed? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I live in the Dallas area and applied Weed and Feed to my not so good looking lawn a couple weeks ago. How often should I be using it? It already looks sooooooo much better than it did. I had a ton of weeds, and now its starting to look like a lawn. I just dont know how often to use it and the bag isnt much help. It says occassionaly, or something to that effect.

I recently put in a wooden mailbox post in my front yard. I painted it with standard white outdoor (yes it's outdoor) paint. Now, a few weeks after installing it, I'm noticing a very light green color forming on the mailbox. I have no clue what this is, nor where it's coming from. Can anyone help me fix this problem?
