Daves hole will not be very deep as he is stoned and your ladder would not support him as you are stoned and, why the hell am I wast......

If you live in Penmaenmawr you will be in granite and wiill take forever to dig, so the clever sod who chooses to be the joiner or steel fabricator is going to win as he will be waitng for mr hole digger to hire a drilling company and a blaster, it takes three months to get a blasting permit,
but if the hole is on the beach in said village it will be the hole digger that wins but he will not need a ladder as the water will bring him to the top of the said hole when the tide comes in, does that answer your question.

Dave will finish first and his hole will go to China and you won't have enough wood to make a ladder that long so Dave will have to live the rest of his life in China.

use a rope ladder so that you can tie more on as the hole gets deeper
