It's not as green as other grass. You can really notice the blue in it on a cloudy day. It also doesn't require as much sunlight as other grasses

I live in Ky. " The blue grass state". The grass in the morning w/ dew is so green it looks blue. It's a very thick and dark grass.

The grass in southern kentucky takes on a bluish hue in the midday sun, hence the name. there was even an old hick song about it and it gained in noteriety and a genre was born.
