I live in the Dallas area and applied Weed and Feed to my not so good looking lawn a couple weeks ago. How often should I be using it? It already looks sooooooo much better than it did. I had a ton of weeds, and now its starting to look like a lawn. I just dont know how often to use it and the bag isnt much help. It says occassionaly, or something to that effect.

It depends on what type of grass you have. Here's what we did:
(1) With regular bermuda grass (in Austin- same climate), we used Weed and Feed once every 4-6 weeks which did great.
(2) This winter, we seeded Rye Grass and it didn't grow until after our firss Weed and Feed about a month ago- now we have to mow our "Chia grass" every other day.
Moral of the story: if you have regular grass, once a month will do. Seed Rye Grass and don't do it at all!!!
The timing really gears around the rain or you watering it. The bag gives specific instructions and that is truly the best source (OR ask your Home Depot/Lowe's guy- they seem to know everything).

Every 5 to 6 weeks will be fine, providing you still have some weeds to take care of. If the weeds are drying up, you may wish to forgo the weed and feed and switch to a regular, slow release fertilizer with iron, like "Scotts" or similar. You "wont" burn your lawn with a slow release fert, and this will feed the lawn up to three months or so... Good luck!

I live in Miami. How often can I use weed and feed? My lawn looks like crap with dollar weed and broadleaf weeds.

Most weed and feed last 3 to 4 months. After that time, it will be safe to use the product again if you wish. Check the specification on the bag to see their application usages.

Typically don't weed and feed more often than once every 4 weeks. Check the bag for specifics. However, fertilizing a lawn once every 3 months is sufficient. More often could burn your lawn.

you can add it every 2 to 4 weeks or as directed on the bag, if you want the lawn to be the best you need to look at the fert bag and see whats the nitrigen contant thats what the lawn needs since it only comes down in heavey rains or as snow plus have the PH check it must be at 6.0 to 7.0 which is the best
