You are going to grow new plants and want to know how to get the greatest amount of growth. Which of the four experiments below would answer this question the best? Explain?

1. In the first planter use fertilizer A and composted soil. In the second planter use fertilizer B and soil found naturally in the area. Put both planters outside.
2. In first planter use fertilizer A, composted soil, and grow in the greenhouse. In the second planter put fertilizer B, soil found naturally in the area, and grow outside.
3. In the first planter use fertilizer A, composted soil, and grow in the greenhouse under a grow light. In the second planter use fertilizer B, composted soil and grow in the greenhouse under the same grow light as the first planter.
4. In the first planter use fertilizer A, grow with composted soil and add 250 mls of water daily. In the second planter use fertilizer B and add 250 mls of water every 2 weeks. Place both planters outside.

I live in Michigan and planted a lavender in my yard two years ago. It has grown a lot but looks a little thin I guess is the word to use. Do you know if you are supposed to trim back or prune back all of the woody stems in the fall or spring????

Is there a simple formula to figure how much time/water for automatic sprinklers? Flat area, grass only, 60' x 60'. Southern CA inland meaning it can get up to 100, often 90, currently about 82. My grass is green but my bill is way high. Has 3 stations, running 2 times for 5min each, every other day. Too much?

I have M.S. and would like to try my hand at growing some of my own organic produce. Due to limited mobility, I need to grow things in large patio pots. Does anyone know anything about what types of vegitables can be grown in this manner. Any good books available on the subject?

I dont want it to rain and the bricks fall into the pond. Also how do you measure how many gallons your pond takes without filling it up?

We did and we were disppointed at the lack of availability of the refill string for it. The machine itself is good but finding the string refills was frustrating. The places that sold this trimmer didn't bother to stock the string refills or maybe they just sold out as quickly as they came in. What a waste money.

I baught a new house with a big back yard. Lots of space to pile up yard waste and pruning waste but I may not want it near my back wood fence or my house for sure. The back yars dementions are about 60'x75' wide. Ok thats not a huge back yard but you should have seen my last yard, it was tiny.
