Working with tomatoes and squash in raised beds. One group outside and the other in ventilated greenhouse. I'm not sure which one should be the control. Concentrated CO2 vapors off of the ice would be close to the ground opposed to CO2 suspended naturally in the environment.

I have late blooming tomatoes. I pruned a bit too late and although I have tons of tomatoes and they're quite large, most of them are still a rich green. Is there hope for my crop?

I want to trim the hedge back to the property line and put a privacy fence up. I have check the bylaws and I can install it no problem.
My neighbours are not co-operative and I just want to make sure that by trimming back, that it does not kill what will still be on their side.

I have a rose bush that grew taller than I thought it would. Just wondering if it okay to cut down the height a little during growing season, or will that hurt it in any way.
I was in my garden and kept hearing this REALLY strange shreiking sound and tracked it down to a squirrel in a tree!! Never knew squirrels made any noises at all. Anyone know why he could be making this sound? Thanks for the help!

I know that apple maggots leave brown feeding trails inside apples; you can see the trails as soon as you cut the apple. However, does anyone know if the veins that turn brown after exposure to air are also indicitive of apple maggots? I'm canning, and I don't like the idea of apple maggot trails being included in my applesauce (I know it won't hurt anyone, but, YUCK)!
