Cinnamon. Draw a fairly thick line around your plants with cinnamon, and it'll keep the ants out. :)

I had ant infestation in my rose-plants & the gardener told me its bcos of dryness in the soil, so I put a lot of water into the pots so that the ants get washed out. I also use rose-mix to keep the leaves & flowers ant-free.

i have tried each and every of the organic sprays. i love the systemic insect administration products that you word on the roots like a fertilizer. The plant takes the product up into the flesh of the plant and it acts like an inner insect poison. it really is a lot neater than sprays, works for months at a time with in basic terms one software and would not make the flora poisonous to something except the insects. (there's no such difficulty for applications of nutrition flora in spite of the undeniable fact that, a minimum of not accessible to the final public.)

If your pot comes with a water dish, make sure it has water in it.
This will deter most ants, but if you live in a tropical climate (like I do), they may still get to it. In that case, keep moving it around, and possibly keep the dish dry and place some ant bait in it.
If you do that, however, you need to be very careful about when and how you water it!

Take a glass full of water & add a spoon of tumeric in it. Stir it well & pour it at the edges of the flower pot in which the plant is kept.

Surround them with ant pesticide, of course!
Non-toxic to plants or us, but ants!
They get attracted by the sweet taste and smell, eat it, get poisoned and die.
Then wipe them up with soap!
Mmmmmmm!! >.<
Make sure they're all Dead-unless they will all crawl up your arm!
EEk! Lol.
