No it's not, but you may have to help pollinate them by misting them with a water spray as there won't be many insects around to do the pollination for you. Have you thought about growing new potatoes in buckets or tubs in your greenhouse for christmas. That works as well.

not if u can add some extra light to them, like a 400 watt metal HID, they need about 18 hours of light a day
