Working with tomatoes and squash in raised beds. One group outside and the other in ventilated greenhouse. I'm not sure which one should be the control. Concentrated CO2 vapors off of the ice would be close to the ground opposed to CO2 suspended naturally in the environment.

The greenhouse should be the control because you cannot control the outside environment. However it comes, that the way it comes. And it will have the same amount of CO2 basically everywhere (except in large cities where it can be higher because of buring fossil fuels).

As for CO2 from dry ice going down, it only does that because it's cold and cold gases go down. As it gets to room (or greenhouse) temp it will start to rise. Eventually, if you have peak vents on the GH, it will leave the GH through these vents. Sometimes growers will have CO2 generators in their GH to keep the CO2 level above the environmental level.

Well, you already know that dry ice is CO2. Yes, it does increase growth, but you also have to be careful about temperature. Don't put it too close to plants.

I would go for those in the greenhouse, but put the ice on a stand where it can't connect with any plants. The CO2 will drift downwards as you described. If you can use a hanging plant basket to hold the dry ice, that might be best.
