DON'T!!! Geckos don't usually eat vegetation; they eat bugs, mosquitos, flies- anything that moves. They do NO HARM to plants, & it's a sign that you have a healthy little backyard if you have a pair of Geckos living in it. Leave them alone. They're some of the best "neighbors" you can have.

Please dont kill them, they are like spiders inside ur house, they keep unwanted insects under control. Have u tried an eco spray on ur plants to see if it works? I plant something called, arithreum (not sure if that the right spelling) its a kind of herb that insects dont like so they keep away from it, I plant it around the rest of my plants, but u can also make a spray out of the seeds i believe

I agree with Joseph, Gekkos are not vegetarian.

I have some in my garden and they eat mosquitoes, cockroaches, flies and other bugs. I love having them there.

Usually it is snails and slugs that eat the leaves of our plants, get some slug pellets from your local gardening centre and sprinkle them around the base of your plants.

Good luck.

Everyone who answered "Do Not Evict" should get points !! They do indeed have a voracious appetite for insects that you do not want. They do enjoy a banana tho - and are quite entertaining to watch when they are eating it. We have a great assortment of geckos, lizards and newts here and we love them.

Please keep your little (Gecko) friends around.
Geckos are unique among lizards in their vocalizations, making chirping sounds in social interactions with other geckos. They can eat cockroaches, crickets, mealworms, waxworms, superworms, ants, moths, beetles, spiders and all sorts of insects. They can see moths and bugs when they move. They sometimes bash an insect when they have caught it in their mouth. Geckos will try and eat insects that are even bigger than they are.

It's more likely that they're eating your bugs. Put our a pet friendly snail bait and see if the problem is from snails or slugs.

They are not bothering your plants, they are actually good for them as they eat the insects.
