I planted amaryllis seed and got some plants to come up. They have made tiny bulbs about the size of the tip of my little finger.

I have a young river birch in my yard that was planted in April-May-ish in memorial of my cat. We left for the summer and while we were gone, the house was rented out. The man who rented it neglected all the plants and when we came back the tree's leaves had shriveled and were brown and dry. The twigs are still very supple and bendy and if you scrape back the bark on them the wood is green. I started watering it excessively after we got back (it's a *river* birch, so it probably needs lots of water, right?), but it doesn't look any healthier. I think it's alive, but I don't know how to help it! How can I make it healthy again?

I live near NYC and would like to plant Lilly of the Valley to bloom for next spring. Can anyone tell me a good place to purchase bulbs, the best time to plant, and care for the bulbs once they've been planted?
Thank you!

I have a daisy plant which came with flowers, but after they died, no more grew back. The plant is doing great, but no flowers. My local florist suggested a time release food especially for flowering plants, but still no action. Any suggestions?

We've had the driest summer on record in this area, but the mushrooms keep growing, in bunches, in my gardens as well as the lawn. I've lived here three years and have never seen a mushroom here before.

i have these shrubs along side of my house, and i hate them. they are the typical shrubs you see everywhere, the ones that grow about 3 ft high, they are used in landscaping alot, but i hate them. what is the best way to get rid of them? i am thinking to cut them down very far, spray with shrub killer, then pull out the roots. they have been around a long time, i bought the house 10 yrs ago, and am sure they are way older than that. thank you

The proper name for the plant is Portulaca oleracea. I have one right now as a hanging plant that I bought. I just want to know if I should cut a stem off or if there are seeds someplace that I don't see.
