I've had two Simplicitys and they're great. The first one lasted 17 years doing 1.5 acres and the second is going on five years. Very reliable and easy to work on. Of course the new one has all kinds of features the old one didn't. For example you don't have to shift into reverse--you just push the reverse gas pedal. Check them out.

you will find that you will have your best bet for that price with craftsman units, otherwise, others like cub cadet or jd are much much more just for a tractor built strong enough to accept a front attachment with the weight of a snowthrower. craftsman makes a heavier duty lawn tractor for this, but the others have to be garden tractors, which means stronger units, but alot more money. hope this helps.

Huskavarna. They are one of the top brands with a good name. I have heard nothing but good things about them.
