The proper name for the plant is Portulaca oleracea. I have one right now as a hanging plant that I bought. I just want to know if I should cut a stem off or if there are seeds someplace that I don't see.

This plant grows like a weed, literally, all over my pasture. You can take some of the leaves off, let them dry a day or two and stick the broken end in the ground and they will root. Or just break off a branch of it and stick it in the ground and it will root. It will root in water. When your plant has roots, dont water hardly ever, it is a succulent and it will kill it.
I just dug and potted up 4 really big ones for my cactus garden today!

This is also the latin name of the purslane plant sometimes eaten as a salad vegetable, but generally considered a summer annual weed. I'll assume that you have a cultivated variety worth keeping since the Google images show some with attractive flowers.

Portulaca oleracea is fleshy rather than woody so you could try breaking off a piece and starting it in water. Your best bet, I think, is to save seed after it flowers. The seed of the annual weed is viable for years in the ground.

You can also save the seeds and plant them next spring.
