Any flower that has 4 or 5 petals or multiples of 4 or 5. Dicots also have one main vein down the center with veins branching off it. The seed also has two cotyledons--hence the name dicot.

They would include dandelions, clover, and plantain for the weeds. In your flower garden it would include all but the flowers with spear-shaped leaves. Flowering dicots would include roses, clematis, impatiens, petunias, asters, and zenias.

There are hundreds of thousands of dicots all together.
