At our old house the front porch (where the plant sits) faced west and our new apartment faces the south. Does this make a difference?

Some one has cracked the stem of my largest tomato plant. I have been told they will root as far up the stem as you place the soil. My question is if I place the end in soil can I save the plant.

I have three zucchini plants and two squash plants in my yard, and they form zucchinis and squashes but then they rot! How do I prevent this? They are planted in urban soils so the calcium level should be high already.
Thanks!

I have fuscias, but they haven't been real nice lately. They'll bud, but then right after that they'll die. I went to gardeners and stuff but when we tried to fix the problems they said it could be, it didn't work. Can someone offer some suggestions as to what's wrong with my fuscias???

I need a plant or flower that I can keep in a pot that can stand being in full sun. My pation gets the hottest afternoon sun, and everything I buy just dies because it is too hot.
I prefer no cactus or succulents.
It can be any size as long as I can keep it in a pot.

I have a vine in my plants, it has three leaves, purple flowers (small), and very shiny bright green rounded berries. Is it poison ivy or oak or something, or is it harmless?

My newly (3weeks) planted peonies are near the driveway and my husband decided to put up a basketball rim on the garage and now the peonies are getting hit by the ball. They are all broken but are still green. I want to move them because I don't want to lose them. Shall I wait until fall or can I move them now? Maybe I should get rid rid of the husband. LOL! I love peonies and want to have a garden full of them. Does transplanting really affect them that much? Can I do it mid season?

My roommate & I love to lay in the sun by our pool topless. With minimun half acre zoning our our neighbors aren't a problem. We have tons of privacy. the property is fenced in, heavy with mature bushes and the like. The pool area is even more private as it has buildings on 3 sides & the area above has 15 ft tall Xylosma congestun. Lately our neighbor's 13 year old son a a friend have been sneaking in from above & hide in the Xylosmas spying on us from above. Forget talking to his parents & calling the Sheriff way out here for a peeping Tom is crazy. Any suggestions for a landscape cure to our problem? Our fences are at zoneing limits & the boys still climb over. Help.

He has been a Master Gardener almost 20 years. He has every garden book ever written and every garden tool ever made. The gift must be related to gardening because anything else won't be noticed. I live with him & my sister (also a Master Gardener) and I owe them both a lot. It needs to be special, personal & garden related. Oh ya, no plants. Big rule around here, no incoming foliage of any kind. He hasn't the time to care for what he has now. A real jungle around here. A trip to a fancy garden in Pango Pango is out as my budget just maxed out at $200.00. No books, no tools, no plants. Oy? What to get the man who has everything, garden related, $200.00 budget. HELP!
