I want to grow my own hops (I live in southeastern Michigan) how would I go about this?

A soft sandy-loomy soil. Deep loose soil. Hops love sun and water. Drip iirrigation is best. Look for aphids which love hops. Trellis straight up or at a slight angle. In the peak of summer they can grow a foot per day. The first year or two will produce very little if any usuable cones. Protect the rhizomes from freeze. How where you live?

I don't even know what a hop plant looks like, but if your goal is to make the worlds freshest beer, I envy you.

I believe you would need to get hops seeds.
