We have removed some old bushes from the front of our house. We are looking to re-landscape with some new bushes or trees, but do not want anything that will grow real big. Mainly small stuff that is affordable. It is the North side of the house, so it does not get much sunlight. Also has to survive winters in Ohio.
Any suggestions appreciated!

I have 4 tomato plants, each in its own planter. Each get the same amount of sun and water, and the soil used for each is the same. Three are doing fine, but one is very wilty and the plant isn't as green as the others. Can anyone offer any help? The plant has a small tomato that is already getting red, but the plant looks like it's dying.

The plants themselves look healthy , but the buds all appear to rot before they fall off and none of them ever bloom.

The bloody beasts live at the pond behind my house, and all day long they walk around, eating and pooping in my yard. My dog tries to run them off, but alas, they have no fear! I'm ready for whatever means are neccassary, including posion, etc. ANY ideas would be great.

I have a small backyard. Half of it is taken up by my kitchen garden (a rectangle plot) and with a cider block walkway dividing it from a rightangle triangle plot of weedy grass. I want to rip out the grass, widen and make more interesting the pathway. Would like to have a rock patio area. Basically need some good suggestions of how to mix the use of my garden, yet also provide an area that I could enjoy and relax in. Replanting grass is an option, but would like to know some ideas of an urban mixed use backyard. I'm a newbie, but willing to try within a limited budget. Photos and directions would be great. Live in Lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Thanks.

I wrote down the names & ordered the from the same company my sister got hers from. They were a total bust. Last year I visited my brother in Washington State. He had great Roses. Wrote down the names, ordered from same company... another bust. I know I am planting them right & I know I am taking good care of them. So is it me or Chicago the Roses hate?

They get water at least once a day, but some that I set in a tray of water for the entire day yesterday, seem a little droopy today, is this from too much water?

It looks like they have some new growth, but they have no buds or leaves. The twigs are somewhat pliable when broken.
I used a root starter when I planted them and watered quite often. I live in zone 5. I've been told that they can still be in shock. They get full sun. This is my first experience with these bushes and I would like them to bloom.
