It looks like they have some new growth, but they have no buds or leaves. The twigs are somewhat pliable when broken.
I used a root starter when I planted them and watered quite often. I live in zone 5. I've been told that they can still be in shock. They get full sun. This is my first experience with these bushes and I would like them to bloom.

scratch the bark of the branch and if is is green then is is still alive. If it is brown and the branch is brittle then it is probably dead. Possible root growth underground though so I would wait it out. Good luck

If they have some new growth they are not dead, it may take them a little longer to adjust since you transplanted in Dec. They do bloom late in the summer though. Keep them watered and wait and see what happens.

They start growth very late in the season. Where I live they flower in August.
