I have two 'part' allotments on different sites.
Allotment A which is one third of a full plot, costs me £10 per year without water or a shed or insurance. Allotment B, which is half a plot, costs me £16 a year with water, a shed and insurance.
As previously stated, depends on where you live as well. but essentially they are affordable.

Depends on where you are. Mine costs £28.50 a year in Glasgow, but other councils may demand more or less. Contact your council or local allotment association.
