I am installing a sliding gate and to keep the track level i need to build up one side of my existing driveway to ensure the track doesn't buckle when driven over. I am looking at using Bondcrete to build up enough cement and feather it approx. 200mm either side of the track. Can anyone comment on whether this is a viable solution, or will it just crack up from being driven over daily?

Been looking around for a Nail Gun for Hubby for Christmas, but not sure what to buy. Sales people try to sell you on the most expensive. I want to stay under $100, but want a good one. Any suggestions?

I have to set a 4x4 post in my concrete patio in order to support a wooden gate. The hole needs to be dug adjacent to the corner of my garage. The gate will be 2 sections, each 4 feet wide and approx. 5 feet tall. I'm thinking that I can drill out the concrete with a mason bit and remove a circle of the concrete large enough to dig with a post hole digger. I would then set the post in new concrete. Is this logical thinking? Any suggestions?

I found this coat , but its missing a button (gray-its not flat either , its carved) and the lining is very ripped and needs replacement. Does anyone know where I can find replacement coat buttons (online all I can find is military/anchor style peacoat buttons) and how I can fix the lining (if I take to a dry cleaner/tailor, do I have to provide the fabric for the lining?) I really love this coat, obviously, and havent see anything like it the storee so I really wan tto refurbish it...plus the fabric its made of is heavy and good. Thanks in advance for any help!

it seems such a waste. Is there anyone who offers cartridges which have screw off top or bottom so it can simply be refilled with fresh activated carbon? I can find 50 pouinds of activated carbon for like a dollar a pound. That would be about 1/20th the cost of buying a whole plastice cartridge every few months.

I have a historic house with intricate exterior woodwork, and it hasn't been painted in 50 years.. It looks salt and peppered. I need to sandblast the house, which will be the quickest and easiest way. It would be impossible to scrape this house.

My question is, can someone help me understand what type of sandblasting equipment I need to buy to get this done? I've seen smaller sandblasting equipment at lowes and homedepot, but it would take forever. What do painters use? where can i buy something a little more heavy duty to get this process done?

Thanks!

My mate wont use a guard on the bench saw because it is used all day every day and the guard gets in the way. He takes full responcability if there is an accident to himself, so he says whats the problem? I agree but a workmate disagree's.
Help us solve this one and we will go with the majority.

I have a modest home in Ohio with gas heat. The windows aren't in terrible shape by I do know that they can be drafty. I don't have the money to replace the windows. I know drapes would help but they too are expensive. What are some other ideas for the financially strapped?
