I've seen them at my schools, outside/inside classrooms, in lockers to hang jackets on, and now I'm redoing a room where they could be useful, but I'm not sure what they are called.

So I have to buy my boyfriend a birthday gift and I was thinking of starting him off on a good power tool. He lives in an apartment right now so space is limited and doesn't really do to much but I don't want to get him a crappy one or one that has to much power that he will never have to use. Any suggestions?

In the attic were the box is, it is secured (the box) by a skinny metal rod that runs between the studs. This house was built in 1950. Is it possible that the skinny meatl rod is strong enough to hold the fans weight, or was it meant for just the weight of a light?

Examples can be found at any local lumber store. Compare different types or kinds of wood mouldings - a cut piece moulding should be at least half the price. Cut -pieces are also of ridiculously small lengths of about 4", 6" sections etc. Selling us scrap pieces of wood for $s not cents. This is a total rip-off. As if selling chip board was not enough, that normally does not stand a chance against penetration of rain and moisutre unless it is impregnated with a good quality bonding agent or glue.

Is there some grease cutting solution I can make, or a product that I should use ?
It has built up terribly, and I'd like spotless appliances again.

I have wall lights which I no longer use and I want to remove them and replace pictures in this area. Is is safe to put a picture hook above this area or does the electicity supply have to be blanked off?. If blanking them off what exactly needs to be purchased, or do you just push the plastic block in to the wall? Can anyone give me any advice?

I remember there was some trick to learn the level in a propane tamk. We're gonna have a BBQ and don't want to run out...but we haven't used it much. What is an easy way of determining how full the tank is...besides taking it in to get it filled...which may be very unnecessary... Thanks

When I try and open the bottom half of the sash window, it won't stay up - it keeps on closing and has already broken a pane. Is there something I could do to keep it up. I was thinking of drilling holes in the frame and putting a peg to keep them up. Any other DIY ideas?
