Okay so, I want to make a giant collage of newspaper clipouts. I've been collectign them and i thought I would just put them on with modge podge glue, but my parents said that it would tear off the sheetrock or plaster or whatever it is on my wall. So I need help because I know people do this kind of thing ALL THE TIME! any ideas?

Could you just get a piece of plywood and paint it, and add the collage on it? That way it would be portable and you could move it. Then you could use whatever glue you wanted.

Use a large piece of cardboard or foam board. Cover it with a nice lightweight fabric in the color of your choice. Hang it on the wall like you would a regular picture. Then you can glue on your newspaper clipouts onto it without damage to your walls.

Use rubber cement. They will come off easily as will the rubber cement without destryoying your walls. Just place a small dab or two on each piece. Any rubber cement residue on the wall can be removed with a small, dried, rubber cement glue ball that functions much like an eraser.

While I agree with Fordman, I'd try to find something lighter than plywood to create the collage on. Foam Core or extra thick poster board will be easier to hang.
