What is the best method bearing in mind of course I want to avoid splitting the plaster.

How hard is it to run the lines yourself? If we can't do it ourselves, how much should I expect to get water hookup to this room?

I want to install a wall to divide my kitchen and dining room. How do you do this? Is this hard? Is it something a determined DIY'er can do, even with minimal experience? Thanks!

On a couple of sites online it shows to cope baseboard on inside corners. Wouldn't cutting the inside corners at a 45 degree angle inside cut do the same thing? Here is an article that shows to cope the baseboard:

I live in South Florida and recently we have had a lot of rain. Now all the neighborhoods yards especially in the swell area are popping up mushrooms every day. They seem to be spreading to all of the yards and it is getting worse. How can we stop them from spreading? It must have something to do with the wind? Help

My livingroom is quite small and north facing. Its obviously quite a dark room with only one patio window. I would like to know what would be the best colours to use in such a room to brighten it up. I am a little bored with the creams and beiges. Any suggestions?

We are renting a home and I want to add something to our backyard block wall to block the view of strangers walking in the alley. I can't make any PERMANENT additions though.

The dent was caused by throwing a cell phone angrily to the wall... so you can imagine how small the damage is. However, since the place's rented, I would still want to make it even less visible to avoid being charged for it. I tried filling the area with some correction fluid, which would totally work except the color's too bright. The paint on the wall has a bumpy/grainy texture. Anyone has any professional or creative idea to help? Thanks a lot.

I don't have animals but we have a flea problem. They are eating me alive and my apartment is taking their time on fixin the problem. I am a mom with two young boys so I don't want to use harmful chemicals and I don't have the money for it either. I have heard that table salt kills them. Is this true and will it last for at least a week and a half? Thanks for your help!

I just purchased some floor tiles that are suppose to be easy to install. All the direction say you have to do is just attach them to your floor (it sticks on one side) but they won't stick to my floor! (on my bathroom floor, they already have tiny cement tiles on them, nonremovable) i really dont want to take them back, but i need some advice on what i can use to make them work on my bathroom floor, because i hate the tiling thats already there, could someone please help. Mature, helpful answers only, thank you! :)
