The dent was caused by throwing a cell phone angrily to the wall... so you can imagine how small the damage is. However, since the place's rented, I would still want to make it even less visible to avoid being charged for it. I tried filling the area with some correction fluid, which would totally work except the color's too bright. The paint on the wall has a bumpy/grainy texture. Anyone has any professional or creative idea to help? Thanks a lot.

You have 2 challenges:

1) Color. most home improvement stores can color match your paint. You will need to bring a sample in about the size of a nickle. Look for an inconspicuous spot, say inside a closet just to the side of the door. use a razor knife and lift a spot "all in one piece". Get your paint. Mind you it probably won't be cheap.

2)Texture. It is hard to say how it was done without seeing it. So you will need to look at it and get a feel for it. If the texture has a swirl to it, you may need to just use a sponge over some filler (your choice of filler). If it seems 'lifted' you can probably re-create it with a bristle brush on the filler. For lines in various directions, I actually use 1 or 2 branches of pine needles to drag across the filler after it sets for a few minutes.

Fear not, it can be done. With textures you really just need to come, close to blend in.

Good luck.

Not caulk but get some plaster, like you would repair a small hole in your wall with. Go to Home Depot or Lowes, tell the person in the Plaster area (near Paint usually) what happened and he can recommend the best type of product to help you. NO I don't work for home depot, and honestly I wish there were other stores near me for home improvement - I'm tired of being overrun by mexicans wanting work and the home depot people inside arent the nicest (but other areas I am sure are fine! )

purchase a small tub of vinyl joint compound and a putty knife and just apply what you need and scrape off the excess. you wont need to sand if you do it correctly. i would try to sand out that correction fluid or white out.you can make a paste from flour and water. you will have to experiment to get it the right consistancy or thickness.the texture can be done by using a small sponge if the area is not over 2x2.if the walls are painted then i would paint the entire wall.just painting that small area would stick out and would be noticed

Repairing a tiny dent is not worth it. Spackle is easy but probably not the right color. So, you need the right color paint as well. Old paint fades, and maybe you can not get a match. If the landlord charges you, it will probably be less than Spackle, paint and your time is worth.

Relax and control your temper!

Buy Spackle. Did you grow up on Mars?

Maybe at your anger management class you'll find someone who can fix it for you.
