How hard is it to run the lines yourself? If we can't do it ourselves, how much should I expect to get water hookup to this room?

I mean how much should I expect to spend?

Here is some hints -
1- You will need two water lines and a drain line.
2- A real (not pretty at all) two garden hoses, one for hot and one for cold.
3- Now the only problem is the drain line. Again (not pretty) a bucket submersible pump and a hose from it to an existing drain.
4- Don't forget you will need electric (grounded) [3-prong plug].

Any large home improvement center can give you ideas using plastic pipe for both the water and drains to help you do it yourself with no soldering. When you get to the electric, that is a different story. (Easy but only if you know what you're doing)

Good Luck!

If you have to ask, you shouldn't do it, especially if it is a long run to the new room. You will also need to install a drain and possibly a vent. Leave this kind of work to a professional.

I wouldn't advise doing it yourself. I would get a plumber. There is now way of saying how much it will be with the info you gave. Just get an estimate from the plumber.
