slabs are approx 5' x 3' x 3 huge rectangles. located off steep embankment on one side and accessible by bay inlet. believe the only way to transport would be through water unless slabs can be cut down. which is the next question.. how to cut into smaller, movable pieces

I don't want to frame the mirror - I actually want to adhere ceramic tile to the mirrors outer edge.

We had an addition put on and the original exhaust was blocked by one of the new walls. We told the contractor that we would convert our vent hood to a filter, but now we want to vent it. Problems are directly above the exhaust is 5 feet from a corner in a bed room. Directly 90 degrees away is in the dining room that my wife doesn't want to modify.

I'm thinking of going 90 degrees the inward direction, the 5 feet to get to the corner in the bedroom and then up to above the new edition's roof line. The inward direction has open cabinet bulk head.

Will it end up with too many turns in the exhaust? Describe the best process for starting and proceeding, then finishing the job. I want to evaluate if the job is too much for my skills. If I do this job myself and I do it well, will it effect the value of the house a lot or only a little, if at all?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a cool wood chopping (or splitting) song I can use to record it with the video I took.

Thanx!

I have tons of chipmunks in my back/front yard and i think under the house also. They're all really cute and I want to catch some but I don't want to buy a trap... yet. Any suggestions on how to Catch these Chipmunks without buying a trap?

I'm a complete rookie, and have never done this before. I intend to retile a shower. I also may need to replace the shower pan. That's the part that scares me. All the books tell you to slope it, but none tell you how. Maybe you can direct me to a book that has step by step instructions about sloping mortor.

Have a handmade maple rocking chair with the middle webbed and springed (so you put a large cushion on top). I'd like to replace the webbing and respring it ... or would it be easier to just put a piece of wood in its place? Duct tape is not an answer for everything!

The cushions have gotten quite worn as I have 2 dogs that climb all over it. Wondering if I can patch the worn parts or re-upholster them all-together, as the rest of the couch is still in perfect condition... Any suggestions?

Fences on 3 sides but along back of property is cliff overlooking river. It has low picket fence with barb wire strung above it. Prowlers almost every nite, even when it rains!
