It's missing a whole section of the track. Can I change just the track? Is it hard?

It's a sliding glass door.

I had this problem last year. Noone sells the track. I made one out of wood. using a table saw cut a 1/4" grove in a piece of 1x4 cut almost all the way through the wood. then you have to trim it to the correct width, Put it in using small screws, and weatherize the wood. It worked really good, and the guy I sold the house too said it is still working. but it only works on the track. If the bottom is shot, you need to replace the whole door.

Usually these tracks are an integral part of the frame for the pation door, so I don't think it can be replaced without replacing the patio door.

you are supposed to fix the track to the top and bottom of the wall so it serves as the rail for the sliding glass.

Ofcourse if you cannot figure it out, spend some hsrd-earned money and call in the professionals!!

u buy the track, measure the door, cut the track to the length with a hack saw, then screw in the track
